Barbara and friends back at the Grill

Barbara Ween invites you to an evening of live jazz, this coming Sunday evening at the 350 Grill in Springfield, Mass. Barbara will be joined on vocals by Matt Marotte and Steve Moser along with Ed Brainerd on flugelhorn, Steve Moser – piano and Chet Pasek on drums. Join us for some great food, drink and jazz, with lots of harmonizing and songs from this group of friends that will bring smiles to warm up a winter’s eve!

Barbara and friends at the VT Jazz Center

The Barbara Ween Quartet will be performing at the Vermont Jazz Center as part of Purim Palooza 2020 celebration organized by the Brattleboro Area Jewish Community. All are welcome. Suggested donation – $10 (No one will be turned away for lack of funds.)

The celebration will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 7 – 10 PM. The Quartet will perform from 8 – 9:30 pm featuring Barbara Ween on vocals, Eugene Uman – piano, Jamie McDonald – bass and Chet Pasek on drums. There will be games, storytelling and more, pastries, snacks, beverages including beer and wine and when the music starts there will be R&B, swing, blues and jazz. Come and join the celebration.

Annual Pisces Birthday bash featuring the George Shearing Tribute

What a night! It’s our annual Pisces Birthday Bash featuring the Jim Argiro, George Shearing Tribute Quintet with special guest Pisces vocalist, Barbara Ween! Yes, it’s that great George Shearing sound with arrangements by Jim Argiro on piano and with Mario DeCiutiis – vibraphone, Rich Goldstein – guitar, Jason Schwartz on bass and Clark Seibold – drums. The fun begins on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 7-10 pm at the Collegian Court in Chicopee, Mass. Pisces, for sure, but all signs are welcome to this evening of great food, drink and live jazz a la George Shearing… and did I mention cake?

Memorial Day weekend has returned and with it, the Paradise City Arts Festival- 2019. The Valley Jazz Divas and Green Street Trio take the stage for some fun and fine jazz! Visit the festival and stop into the music tent to hear the Valley Jazz Divas with Barbara Ween, Jill Connolly, Carol Abbe Smith – vocals, and the Green Street Trio with Paul Arslanian – keys, George Kaye – bass and John Fisher on drums. They will be performing your favorites between Noon and 4 pm on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Fairgrounds in Northampton. So much to see – so much to taste – so much to hear!
